In nature, beeswax functions as a structural vessel: the honeycomb. Similarly, I use beeswax to investigate the structural container of the figure in which I embed with a myriad of random, brittle, quirky thoughts – one’s inner dialogue.
These figures are multiple castings from an original clay sculpture from which a rubber mold was created. Plied with or cast with found objects and materials, carved into, melted with a blow torch, even recast.

Artist signature and details are hand printed on the underside. Caring for this piece is simple dusting. Encaustic does not respond well to extreme fluctuations in temperature – Do not freeze or leave in a hot vehicle.
